COMPOUNDING AND FILLING

BioZone has a full range of compounding and filling equipment for liquid and emulsion products. All compounding and filling are performed under Current Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA guidelines.

Compounding

Chemical raw materials are approved for release by the Quality Control Department prior to their transfer to the compounding area.

The chemicals are pre-weighed according to the batch requirements.

The proper tank is selected, depending on the batch size. The batch is inspected during specific points in compounding.

 

Filling

The filling process is at all times monitored by Quality Assurance for compliance to customer and BioZone standards.

Samples are taken and evaluated by Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The products are evaluated for the following parameters:

  • Proper fill
  • Label Adherence and Registration
  • Cap Torque
  • Color
  • Fragrance and Appearance
  • Any other parameters specified by the customer or BioZone

The completed product is then packed into shipping cartons and stacked on pallets, which are wrapped to properly secure the pallets. The pallets are then transferred to the warehouse to await shipment.
